It started with the dogs

The idea behind it
For a long time, we kept coming back to the same question:
What happens when a sled dog can no longer run?
These dogs give everything during their working years – strength, energy, loyalty.
We felt their retirement should reflect that.
That thought became the foundation of everything we do today.

A different kind of life
Together with our long-time partners at Abisko.net, we make sure the story doesn’t end when the sled days are over.
We take in the dogs that can no longer run – whether due to age or other limitations – and give them a new role in life.
They don’t disappear.
They stay with us.
Still part of the adventure
Even without pulling sleds, these dogs still have much to give.
On our hikes, they walk alongside us – calmer, wiser, and just as social.
For many guests, this becomes something truly special:
not just meeting a husky, but sharing time with a dog that has lived a full life in the Arctic.

From first steps to lifelong companions
And when new puppies begin to explore the world, they naturally become part of it too.
From an early age, they join us on our hiking tours – learning step by step, alongside our guests and the older dogs who show them the way.
It’s a gentle introduction to the life they will grow into, where curiosity turns into confidence over time.
From curious first steps…
to experienced sled dogs…
to slower days filled with new kinds of adventures.
