Adult: 890 SEK Student: 790 SEK Child (7–12 years): 445 SEK Time: 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM (3 hours) Meeting point: Abisko.net Hostel & Huskies reception (Lapportsvägen 32) Difficulty: Easy to medium Minimum age: 7 years Join us for an evening adventure in the heart of the Arctic night — a guided 3 km hike beneath starry skies in search of the northern lights. Led by experienced local guides with deep roots in Abisko, you’ll hear stories about the valley, the culture of the north, and life with huskies under the aurora. Together with a few playful huskie puppies, we wander through quiet forests and open landscapes, heading toward one of our favorite viewpoints. Along the way, we often stop for photography, waiting and watching as the northern lights might begin to dance above the mountains. Your guide will help you with camera settings and tips for capturing that perfect aurora shot. As we make our way toward the lávvu on the hillside, the landscape grows quieter around us. Once there, we light a fire and prepare a hot drink — a cozy break to warm up, share stories, and enjoy the Arctic evening. When we feel warm again we step outside to our scenic viewpoint - the reward for our adventure. Here we make a bonfire, keep watch for more northern lights, and simply take in the beauty of the moment. If it’s cold, you can move freely between the fire inside the lávvu and the open-air viewpoint. When it´s time, we begin our return toward the village, often under a sky full of stars — with the huskie puppies leading the way, tails wagging and spirits high. Our team has worked with huskies for many years, and if you’re curious, we’ll happily share stories about their personalities, training, and what life with sled dogs in the far north is really like.
