Härja på fjället AB was born from two great passions: dogs and the mountains. Based in beautiful Abisko, we take you off the beaten path – to where the real wilderness begins. We’ve got mountain air in our lungs and husky fur in our pockets. Our sled dogs aren’t just co-workers – they’re the heart and soul of what we do. Together, we guide you on unforgettable hiking adventures, with their noses as compasses and the Arctic landscape as our playground. Whether you’re an experienced trekker or just curious to try something new, we promise fresh air, big smiles, and laughter that echoes between the peaks. Come roam the mountains with us – it’ll be a wild ride!

How our tours work

With us, you have the chance to hike with a huskie in front – pulling and leading the way.

​

Each dog carries a saddlebag with Swedish fika and firewood that we’ll use to make coffee over an open fire.

You’ll get a comfortable waist belt connected to the dog with a pulling line. Our huskies all have unique personalities – some are strong and eager, others calm and easygoing. There’s a dog for everyone.

We offer tours with varying levels of difficulty – from gentler trails to more demanding routes. No matter which one you choose, we’ll be walking in uneven mountain terrain, good balance and sturdy shoes are essential.
